YOU BETTER TAKE IT BACK! HOBBS AND SHAW IS ACTUALLY FLEXING FOR THE F&F FRANCHISE

Actor Tyrese joked about the “lil spinoffs” opening numbers being below any of the Fast And Furious Franchise average successes. The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) responded with a tweet that put a clown in his place with a calm flex of success.

Contrary to what we’ve been hearing about Hobbs and Shaw, in reference to it’s standing amongst the other movies in the franchises, it’s actually not as low of a blow as we thought we could record. Also just a brief news flash, Hobbs and Shaw isn’t just Hobbs and Shaw, the movies official title is Fast & Furious Presents: Hobb and Shaw. Therefor, the Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham’s spin-off is apart of the F&F franchise.

Tyrese posted to Instagram a article title “Hobbs & Shaw Has Lowest Fast & Furious Box Office Opening Since Tokyo Drift” the photos caption read

I have to show my respects for one thing…. He tried…….. Folks called me a hater…. And attacked me for speaking out….. Breaking up the family clearly doesn’t have the value that one would assume it does

The post has since been deleted. It’s seems that the actor took the article as confirmation to his opinions about the Fast and Furious movies. He’s previously expressed his issues with Dwayne Johnson in the past, stating his belief that The Rock was making the Fast & Furious franchise revolve around his image.

Tyrese continued to acknowled that the $180 million worldwide opening is “NOT a win” for the franchise. But it looks like Tyrese hadn’t gotten his facts all the way straight. The comment doesnt seem to recognize that Hobbs and Shaw did not open day and date all over the world. Tyrese spoke out a little too soon as the film had not yet released in Italy, France, South Korea and still has coming the biggest opening date in China, Friday, August 23.

To date, According to Cinema Blend

Hobbs & Shaw opened in Korea on Wednesday and made $2.4 million that day, topping The Fate of the Furious’ opening by 81% and Fast and Furious 7‘s opening by 176%. The movie made close to $9 million in South Korea by Friday.

These numbers make a new record for the franchise. Hobbs & Shaw is officially South Korea’s biggest opening day for any of the other Fast and Furious franchise movies.

Just picture Dwayne Johnsons beautiful smile as he thaks Korea with a post to instagram that reads

Thank you Korea for making @hobbsandshaw break another franchise record. Not too shabby for our second week of box office biz

So… to that clown emoji Dwayne mentioned in his Tweet:

Literally minding my business while adding my two cents. How does that work?
