The Toronto International Film Festival will get the first view of Todd Phillips Joker via the Joaquin Phoenix vehicle.
The TIFF Joker viewing in September is said to only be the “North American Premiere” and not the world premiere. World premiere date and location hasn’t been confirmed as of yet.
Joker will be open in theaters everywhere, October 4th.

Todd Phillips (The Hangover trilogy) directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with writer Scott Silver (The Fighter), based on characters from DC. The film is being produced by Phillips and Bradley Cooper under their Joint Effort banner, and Emma Tillinger Koskoff. It is executive produced by Richard Baratta, Joseph Garner, and Bruce Berman.
